A Story of Love
Bear was a one-year-old German Shepherd mix that was abandoned during the North Eastern Minnesota flooding in the spring of 2008. He was found on a farm. The owners of the farm already had several dogs of their own, so they brought him to the Humane Society of Polk County.
A day after his arrival, his current owners saw him on Petfinder.com. The entire family went to meet him, including their 16-month-old son. Their son fell on the way to greet Bear and started crying. Bear slowly approached him and started gently licking the tears from his face. That was it! Bear had found his forever home. Bear now enjoys his siblings – cats and dogs - and long walks with his family!
