Wild Blue Animal Rescue and Sanctuary: A Shot at Life Vaccination Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Three trays of 24 each FVRCP vaccines. Used to vaccinate cats/kittens to prepare them for adoption and make them more adoptable. Cats get one vaccine plus one booster, kittens get one vaccine plus two boosters.

Huge help in providing required vaccines and boosters to our intake population. Helped us rescue 100% more kittens over last year.

How many pets did this grant help?

50 so far

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Pandora was rescued from a busy street where cars were driving right over her little body … Thank goodness she wasn’t hit! A good Samaritan stopped traffic, called us and we took her in right away. Jojo and his six siblings were found abandoned behind a hardware store. An employee of the store contacted us and we took the babies in. One of the seven did not survive, but all the other “J” kittens have now been adopted into great homes.

This grant has helped Wild Blue double the intake and adoptions of kittens in our area over last year. We provide this vaccine and two boosters of it to each kitten we take in to ensure they are well-vaccinated prior to going to their new homes. This takes a lot of vaccines to stay on top of this protocol, and this grant made it possible for us to do so much more than in previous years! Attached are several photos of kittens this grant has helped. All of these babies are now in their “furrever” homes!
