The product was used to vaccinate cats on intake into the shelter.

We see over 40,000 pets entering our doors each year. In accordance with strict shelter best practices, we vaccinate every animal upon arrival. This can pose a huge expense for our organization, but we are committed to protecting the health and well being of every animal in our care. The grant helped us help more cats by providing a very necessary vaccine.

Bonito, a 1-year-old small, fluffy male cat came to The Animal Foundation under sad circumstances. His family had just had a new baby and unfortunately baby and Bonito were just not getting along. On Nov. 8, Bonito was brought to the shelter. Through the Petfinder Foundation’s generous donation, he was able to get his shots and head over to adoptions, anxiously awaiting the perfect new family for him. Just 11 days later, Brian came to the adoption center and fell in love with Bonito. It was a match made in heaven and he is happy and healthy (thanks to the vaccines) in his new home!
