Shawn was adopted out from Furry Friends Network in 2005 as a puppy. He was surrendered back to FFN in February 2014 due to his human family’s divorce. Shawn’s human planned to euthanize him because she figured no one would want him. Not only did he have some anxieties, but also a torn ACL. However, it is amazing what some love and medical care will do.

Shawn is a fine and distinguished gentleman (at 10 years young) who enjoys spending time with his foster family of adults and dogs. Shawn is friendly, loving and enjoys being outside. He looks forward to returning to his daily walks. Shawn loves to be with his people, adults and children, and finds comfort with other dogs as well. He especially feels comfortable with females, both the two-legged and four-legged varieties. He would do best with a family that is home the majority of the day as he gets anxious when left alone for long periods of time. He is housetrained, has excellent house manners and barks very little. Shawn should be back to his energetic self soon. Other than his repaired ACL, Shawn is in excellent health, and is full of life. Because of all his recent changes, he will need extra time to transition to his new home to make him feel safe and loved through his senior years. Do you have a space in your home and heart for Shawn? He is looking for his perfect match so he can finally unpack his suitcase and stay awhile.
