Hello Bully: P.L.A.Y. Pet Beds Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We have used these beds at both the Hello Bully Halfway House and at events.

At the Halfway House, dogs enjoy sitting/relaxing while we clean, stuff Kongs, and perform other activities. They are also very transportable, so we have brought them to on-site events, where our adoptabulls are able to meet potential families. They can rest in a very comfortable spot with these beds!

Grayson LOVES these beds! He often prefers them over the giant futon that the dogs have access to 🙂 THANK YOU! From his Petfinder profile: “This guy is the total package! He’s smart, handsome, and oh, so charming. Two-year-old Grayson is a clever dog who enjoys using his mind. Stuffed Kongs, food puzzles, and training sessions let him show off his smarts. Our volunteers have introduced him to clicker training and he’s been doing really well with it! He also loves to take long walks and really check out the scenery, and he’d be a great running partner. He knows how to relax after a busy day and is happy to lounge around when all of his work is done. UPDATE Dec. 1, 2017: BEST WEEK EVER?!?!!? We sure think so! We’re so happy to share the wonderful news that Grayson Earsworth has officially been adopted! We are so happy for Grayson and his new family!

Grayson came to us with some behavior issues and he’s still got a bit of work to do with his new family, but this kid has come so far. He’s really a rock star. Like so many “slightly imperfect” dogs, Grayson needed time, patience, support, lots of friends, and a family willing to help him build confidence and conquer his fears.

Sometimes, love — as a verb — is all you need.

“We really love Grayson, he is such a joy to us!” says his new family. Our hearts are exploding with happy today for Grayson, and his new mom and dad, Amber and Jacob. Congratulations!
