Fayette County Animal Rescue: Senior Pet Adoption Grants
Meja - medications, vet bills, and general care.
This grant went directly to one of our seniors, Meja. She has been diagnosed with Addison's disease and requires expensive medication to keep her alive. We are hopeful that she will find a forever home! When she does get adopted, Fayette County Animal Rescue will pay for her medication for the rest of her life. Since this grant will go towards Meja, this gives us the opportunity to use other funds/donations for our other rescues in need and we will be able to help more and more dogs and cats in our community! Thank you so much!!
Meja is one of our sweet, special senior girls! She is still available for adoption and we would love to find her forever home. Here is her story: Meja was a very thin stray roaming the streets, and luckily a good Samaritan spotted her and brought her to us. She was heartworm-positive, so it took a while to get her healthy, but she has fully recovered now and she's looking for her forever family! Meja is a very sweet and affectionate girl; she just loves being with people. She likes some other dogs, but she prefers dogs around her size or larger and she would prefer a home without cats. Meja is housetrained and will make great addition to the right family! Her date of birth is Sept. 10, 2011 and she weighs about 55 lbs.
Meja has been in a foster home and her foster mom says she is "the best dog ever!" She is extremely good and doesn't need a crate because she behaves so well! We just discovered she has Addison's disease, but it is controlled with medication. Meja has been spayed, is current on all shots, is on flea and tick prevention and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and comes with a 30-day pet-health guarantee. Her adoption fee is $95 with an approved application. Visit fayettefcar.com to fill out an application. Meet Meja: www.petfinder.com/petdetail/28878525
