Dallas Animal Services and Adoption Center: Petfinder 20th Anniversary Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The Petfinder 20th Anniversary Grant was used for 175 Peria beds, 20 fan misters to be used in our play yards while our dogs exercised outside, 240 Kong toys and 240 natural hambone treats for our dogs to enjoy in their kennels. These items provide comfort and enrichment for our dogs while they are waiting to be adopted.

This grant allowed us to purchase new beds for our dogs, as well as Kongs, Kong Wobblers, Kong Tugs, Kong Rubber Balls, natural dog bones and an outdoor mister system for each play yard. All of these things make the dogs' time in their kennels easier and more enjoyable, and relaxes the animals, helping them to put on their best behavior to meet potential adopters. In addition to helping our pets, these items also give our hard-working staff a boost by letting them share fun items with the pets in their care.

Our pets are enjoying the beds, toys, and bones. There wasn’t a specific story, but we are sending pictures of our pets enjoying the items this grant allowed us to purchase.
