How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Product was used at adoption events to help keep all the dogs happy. We had a few puppies who really needed things to chew on that they couldn't destroy. Each puppy, when adopted, went to his or her new forever home with one. They really helped keep the dogs happy and playful at home and at adoptions.

It allowed us to have nice new products that we wouldn't otherwise be able to buy, but more importantly, it helped us teach potential dog adopters that, with the right accessories and toys, the dogs wouldn't destroy things and would be easier to train.

The puppies used the Kongs the most as they were teething and trying to put anything in their mouths. It helped the foster homes be able to manage having young, growing puppies in their homes without destroying their homes. One puppy who benefited was Bruiser (first photo). This 3-month-old heeler/shepherd mix is very energetic, outgoing and lovable. He is good with cats, children and other dogs.
