How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

To sponsor the adoption fees and care of the animals chosen by the donors.

Animals with lowered fees have higher online visibility, which increases their chances of finding homes sooner. Donors who sponsor adoption fees through the Petfinder website have allowed us to place some of our harder-to-adopt or long-term animals by lowering or completely waiving their adoption fees.

Blossom (first photo) is an amazing, sweet, playful girl who adores laps. She gets along great with other cats and is just an all-around wonderful girl. She was having trouble finding a home for three reasons: 1) She is FIV-positive, 2) she would nip fingers if you put them in her cage, and 3) she didn’t photograph very well. She stayed at the shelter for 10 weeks with no interest. Once her adoption fee was sponsored, she was adopted in five days!
